Happy New Year Games Maker,
You are one of the Official London 2012 Games Makers & we have news about how you can get involved in 2013 and beyond
It is hard to believe that it is nearly six months since Bradley Wiggins rang the bell to mark the start of the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games. You are one of the chosen 70,000 who will always be able to say you were a part of that exclusive group of people who made history in the summer of 2012.
You were there
You were ready
You had what it took
You made the nation proud
You made your mark – the Games Maker mark of authenticity
The Games Maker programme has been recognised with numerous awards including the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and the Big Society. We can all look back fondly on a job well done.
Get involved in 2013
It's time to look forward at how you, one of the inspirational London 2012 Games Makers, continue volunteering and ensure that the legacy of London 2012 lives on.
Friday 25th January, today, sees the re-launch of Join In. Join In is another of London 2012's success stories and this video from our great friend Eddie Izzard (Join In's Patron) explains how you can be part of an exciting future. Your local sports clubs need YOU!

As the London Organising Committee winds down its operations and the Games Maker contact centre closes, we are working on ways to keep you in touch with future volunteering opportunities and provide a
forum to maintain those special Games time friendships which will last a life time. We'll be in touch shortly with more information.
